No one can be brought to their knees with the help of power in politics, Rawal said if Saturday’s assembly can be called a ‘show of strength,’ UML alone is capable of organising such an assembly.“Why are the oppositions terming the majority process at Constitution Assembly as ‘mathematical game’ while they stage a ‘show of strength’ by counting the number of heads?” Rawal asked, expressing his bewilderment. “It’s strange that a baton-rally is not forceful but the call to move ahead as per regulation is forceful?”Leader Rawal said the UCPN (M) has lost its mind after realising that the ruling parties could easily garner a two-thirds majority required for drafting the constitution through voting. However, the ruling parties are still open for talks, Rawal said. CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal has strongly countered the remarks made by UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal against his party.Chairman Dahal, addressing the mass assembly of opposition parties on Saturday, had claimed that the UML had merged into the Nepali Congress despite being a communist party. He had questioned the UML’s distinct identity saying the party had accepted all the agendas of the NC.“Can we too say the UCPN (M) has dissolved into Madhesi Morcha?” Rawal questioned, speaking at an interaction programme in Reporter’s Club on Sunday.
